The chopstick range is crafted and produced in the Zumi workshop of Fukui prefecture, Japan, from lacquerware. Each piece is handmade with precision and care by local artisans, making the chopstick range a special part of any table setting, along with a welcome pop of colour.

The Made In Japan lacquerware selection is made in collaboration with the Zumi workshop based in the Fukui prefecture of Japan. This region of Japan has a 1500-year-old history of crafting with Lacquer. These items are from the KAPPO collection meaning 'to cut and cook'.

Rosie and Philip founded Made In Japan Tableware (MIJ) because they were fed up with low-quality, boring tableware. Their products make their way from Japan to their warehouse in Yorkshire. The majority of their products are sourced from small, family-run kilns in Gifu on the central island of Honshu, with the rest of their collections being sourced from the length and breadth of Japan.

RETURNS

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to return it to us. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags (if applicable), and in its original packaging. 

All returns are carried out on a self-serve basis, meaning that we do not cover the cost of shipping cost or provide pre-paid return labels.
